This. I have not seen ANY videos/pictures/media showing destroyed buildings in israel like I have seen in Palestine. We have seen Palestine being totally leveled: bombed hospitals, houses, schools, everything. But you know what I have not seen? The same in israel. And do not even try to say “oh khamas controls israels media!!!”. How? Because thats makes you sound like an antivaxxer flatearther 💀 so your opinion is automatically worthless and waste of space.
Like people make it sound like what happened on oct 7 was like The Rumbling yet I havent seen anything of that level. Yet you could think that it happened in Palestine because of all the evidence.
Early visual development for Wish (2023) by Griselda Sastrawinata-Lemay and Brittney Lee.
An earlier version of the film saw Star take on a human form as a magical, glowing character inspired by Peter Pan. Ultimately, the creative team reconceptualized Star as an ethereal, playful entity resembling Mickey Mouse. “Now Star and Asha have an emotional journey. They are soulmates.” -Allison Moore.
Okay but the biggest plot twist ever (to me) was the end of Season 2 in Avatar. Like. Zuko frees Appa, has a damn breakdown because apparently one (1) single act of aiding the Avatar caused his whole body (and spirit??) to freak out, but on the other side of that, Zuko is happy. He’s in Ba Sing Se, he’s serving tea with Uncle Iroh at the new tea shop, there’s a cute girl who he likes (and she likes him back??!!), everything is fine.
Until Azula (derogatory) walks up.
The whole “tea for the Earth King” goes about as well as you would expect. Zuko gets tossed in a hole with Katara, the gAang and Iroh break them out, and Azula steps up and baits Zuko with his honor, walks off to go throw down with the Avatar. As expected.
But as Azula and Aang are squaring off, Zuko pops back up again. I thought FOR SURE that Zuko was going to realize “Azula always lies.” I thought that he was going to realize Ozai was a bastard. I thought that after a season of realizing how badly the Fire Nation was messing up the Earth Kingdom, after freeing Appa, after all this guidance with Iroh, after that tender and vulnerable moment with Katara, that Zuko was going to Choose this moment to sweep Azula’s feet out from under her.
And much like Aang, I had about half a second to go “NO!!” before he fucked it all up.
Y'all, I was SHOOK.
There was an alternate future where Ba Sing Se never fell to the Fire Nation, where Zuko got his eye healed by Katara and the Spirit Water, where Azula was neutralized before Book 3.
I understand why the writers did things the way they did, I understand why the Day Of Black Sun had to fail, but at the time, I was so hoping that Zuko would have made the Choice to reject Azula’s bait, and I was emotionally devastated that Book 2 ended on the note it did.
OKAY.
So. You see these two guys?
They did nothing wrong, and yet the fandom likes to shit on them for not inviting Zuko and Azula to their houseparty. They just wanted to throw a party, and invited the two people who happened to have friends who have absolutely zero chill to their party, and what happened? They trashed their house. That’s right. The people they didn’t even want to invite trashed their house. They rightfully didn’t want to invite Azula and Zuko because they knew they would ruin the party, and they were right. Their only mistake was extending an invitation after being pressured into doing so.
Anyway, this bingo ask wasn’t about Chan and Ruon-Jian, but simply Ruon-Jian, so let’s get to him.
I love him.
I hardly post anymore, but I just wanted to tell everyone to please go watch Elemental. As a daughter of immigrants, it hits really close to home. It is not only beautiful but the love story, the xenophobia allegories, and the father/daughter plot are so well done.
I was on the “I don’t really care to see this movie” bandwagon since I hadn’t really liked the last few Pixar movies, but this one deserves so much love. Please go give it some. 🔥💧
i love when they draw a carrot on top of the carrot cake just to remind you this aint no ordinary fuckin cake youre dealing with
